I am from Las Vegas and noticed there isn't much for entertainment around here. During the weekdays, I would like the community to have access to the theater for local schools to put on plays, etc. The location is desirable since it is half way between Johnson City and Bristol. No one at the county offices will acknowledge that they have the charter. Even our newest commissioners have asked over the last year and have not been able to receive a copy. I've talked to a dozen or so persons in the last 3 weeks who've stopped by our county govt offices only to leave empty-handed when making a request for a copy of the charter. It definitely is NOT on the government website as required by law. I'm embarrassed at how dirty some of these people make you feel to be associated with "their form" of government. I only hope that the majority of honest citizens start coming out. "The Posse" can target a dozen or so people for speaking out but it gets harder when they are 10,000 are more people coming together. That is my prayer and my mission as I believe there are more honest residents than the corrupt 300 or so who'd sell their mother for 50 cents and say "praise God" at the same time. Yes, Willie.
