FedEx Freight may bring $20-per-hour jobs to Sullivan County

BLOUNTVILLE — There’s not just one, but two, new FedEx operations set to open soon in Sullivan County, according to discussions among county officials in the last week or so.

Local Plant Hires Local Workers

As more and more jobs are lost to overseas workers, at least one company in the Tri-Cities is looking to hire more local employees.

Nakatetsu—a Japanese plant that makes car parts—located in Jonesborough because Northeast State Technical Community College agreed to help supply its work force.
