AGC Flat Glass will lay off 16 employees Monday at the Church Hill Greenland plant.
Chris Correnti, AGC Flat Glass Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary says the layoffs are temporary and the workers are subject to be called back.
He also says the company could lay off more people if the demand does not pick up in the coming months.

AGC Flat Glass North America, Inc., has announced that it has had to layoff approximately 180 workers due to the struggling global economy. In the past few years, AGC has downgraded its North American presence from nine plants to five plants, with the Jerry Run Plant in Taylor County being the only non-automated plant the company operates in North America.
