Thank you for sharing all the documented facts regarding this very sad affair. I admire DKA for the attitude in which they tried to participate and work with a very non-workable group. Several of the DBA group was asked to serve on the DKA Board of Directors when they first arrived into Downtown five years ago at which time they turned down. Doug Beatty spoke to the DKA Board of Directors upon his first arriving in Kingsport, when asked what he would do if his plan didn't work out he stated that he would leave downtown and go home, leaving the mess for someone else to clean up. If he loves Kingsport so much why didn't he buy a home here instead of Abingdon, VA? The DKA membership and Board of Directors have nothing to be ashamed of, each exhibited leadership and professionalism which is something that neither the Mayor or Vice Mayor has done. Wonder how you get to be one of the "important" people in their circle? Keep your heads up DKA you have done and will continue to do a job well done. In regards to the November 6th comment.
